Are micathermic heaters energy efficient? At the heater itself, a micathermic model is still electric resistance heat. That means it converts essentially all of the electricity it uses into heat at the point of use, but it does not create more heat than the electricity you pay for.

The real efficiency question is therefore how effectively you heat the occupied room, how well the thermostat controls runtime, and how much heat the room loses.
